Position Overview:
The position of the National Sales Manager/Director of Sales will be responsible for driving profitable national growth and expanding brand presence across specialty, mid-tier retail, and key distribution partners. This role will own national account strategy, manage regional rep organizations, come with strong buyer relationships, and ensure accurate forecasting and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive item placement, line reviews, seasonal programs, new account openings, and expanded distribution;
• Serve as the primary point of contact for buyers, distributors, and assigned rep organizations;
• Lead buyer meetings, line reviews, and strategic planning discussions;
• Develop and execute annual and long-term sales strategies for assigned accounts;
• Manage and align independent rep organizations to sales strategies;
• Set expectations, priorities, and performance goals for assigned reps;
• Ensure consistent execution of programs, launches, and promotions across regions;
• Forecast sales and plan inventory for assigned accounts;
• Manage promotions, programs, and exclusives with key retailers; and
• Ensure spending supports sales goals and drives results.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or similar is required;
• Minimum of eight (8) years of sales experience in the toy industry;
• Experience managing and leading independent rep networks;
• Proven success managing specialty, regional, and national mid-tier retail accounts;
• Strong national mid-tier buyer relationships with a track record of profitable growth
• High proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Dropbox;
• Knowledge of LC (FOB) and Domestic shipping procedures; and
Key Skill Set:
• Excellent sales, people, administration, written, and oral communication skills;
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines;
• Excellent forecasting skills;
• Possess elevated financial acumen - Margin/Forecast Planning/ Budget Management;
• Proficient in knowledge of targeted distribution, product categories, competitive set and market triggers within the industry;

Salary: 100k-160k. Dependent on experience
